Terms of Use

These terms govern use of Iron County Court Docket, a private reference resource for public court-access information in Michigan.

Please Read Before Using This Resource. Use of the site means acceptance of these terms. If they are not acceptable, do not use the resource.

1. What This Website Is

Iron County Court Docket is a privately operated informational resource. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Iron County, Michigan courts, any clerk, or a government agency. Official records remain with the court that maintains them.

2. Informational Use Only

Content is offered for general reference. It is not an official docket, legal advice, a certified record, or a promise that a court record is complete, current, public, or available online. Public judicial records follow Michigan Court Rule 8.119; the Michigan Freedom of Information Act is the separate route for covered administrative records.

3. Rules for Using This Site

Users may use the resource for lawful personal, civic, historical, or case-access purposes. Users may not misuse a linked system, attempt automated scraping, evade access controls, upload unlawful material, disrupt the site, or use any information in violation of law or another service’s terms.

  • Do not treat an online result as a certified court record.
  • Do not try to obtain sealed, juvenile, or protected information through an improper route.
  • Do not automate queries against public court systems.
  • Do not misrepresent identity or authority in a request to a court or clerk.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Iron County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Information from this resource may not be used for a purpose regulated by that law, including decisions about credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance eligibility, or other consumer eligibility.

5. No Legal Advice

No content creates an attorney-client relationship or substitutes for a lawyer, court staff, or a clerk. A party with a deadline, pending case, or question about legal rights should seek qualified legal assistance or contact the responsible court.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Courts, portals, contacts, fees, hours, and case entries can change. Links and explanations may become out of date. Verify a docket entry, record restriction, copy cost, payment requirement, or hearing setting with the court of record before relying on it.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Official court links, county links, and sponsored tools are operated by other organizations. Their availability, content, charges, practices, and terms are their responsibility. A user should review those terms before using an external service.

8. Intellectual Property

The site’s original text, design elements, logo, and code are protected by applicable law. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or used to create a derivative service without permission, except as law permits.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Iron County Court Docket is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the resource, an external link, a sponsored tool, an unavailable result, or reliance on content that should have been confirmed with the official custodian.

10. Indemnification

Users agree to defend and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, demands, losses, and reasonable costs arising from their unlawful use of the resource or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any permitted dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Michigan.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be changed at any time. Continued use after a revised version is posted indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
